      • March 14, 2025: The maximum temperature of hot water was noted to be at 50.6 degrees C. Please decrease the water temperature and ensure it is maintained below 49 degrees C.June 23, 2025: The temperature measured in the preschool handsinks accessible to children was 55C. These sinks are closest to the hot water heater and thus require the installation of thermostatic mixing valves to limit the temperature at point of use.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • A bottle of Vim cleaner was observed in the unlocked cupboard beneath the kitchen sink in the upstairs children's room. It was moved to the locked chemical cupboard at the request of the PHI.

      • Open alcohol including a half-full bottle of sangria, a half-full bottle of brandy, and 3 cans of beer were observed in the unlocked upstairs fridge located in the children's area. These items were removed immediately at the request of the PHI.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • The single compartment handwashing sink in the preschool room was being used for manual dishwashing. An employee was observed washing dishes at time of inspection. It was explained that this sink is for handwashing only, and personal dishes must be taken home or brought to the kitchen for washing.

      • The children's washroom handwashing sink upstairs, and both handwashing sinks in the washrooms of the preschool room exceeded the maximum of 54C.

      • Water table in the preschool room was not being changed in between cohorts. Operator was educated and will begin this immediately moving forward.

      • The temperature in the upstairs was measured at 18C, as the heater had not been turned back on following winter. Children were observed playing in this space, as it was too smoky to be outdoors.
