- Nail clippers and cuticle nippers that operator indicated were clean had dead skin debris and nail debris.Ensure that all semi-critical tools are visibly cleaned with soap and water, air dried before submersion in high-level disinfectant.

- 1. Alcohol was being used for the disinfection of semi-critical tools. High-level disinfectant must be used for semi-critical tools at all times. Obtain high-level disinfectant, and clean and disinfect all tools in facility. 2. Waxing scissors and tweezers were visibly soiled. Scissors and tweezers were being disinfected with alcohol. Clean and disinfect with at minimum a low level disinfectant, that has a DIN or NPN, after each client.
