    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) Wall areas throughout some of the rooms were chipping and the surface was no longer smooth and cleanable.- 12-19 month room- toddler 12) The surface of some of the shelving units were wearing and in disrepair.- 12-19 month room- preschool room

      • Some small first aid kits require supply updates (Toddler 2).
    • 15. Is laundry being properly handled in a suitable manner?
      • Laundry was being air dried and not being mechanically dried. Please ensure that all laundry including cloths, stuffies, mattress covers etc. are washed and dried mechanically.

      • Preschool room - Cots were tearing/fraying on the edges. Repair requiredToddler 1 - the blue and black carpet was lifting.

      • Preschool/kinder bathroom - toilet paper dispensers were not accessible to the children and the middle toilets did not have a dispenser available. Please ensure all a toilet paper dispenser is available for all toilets and that it is appropriately accessible for kinder age children while sitting from the toilet. Preschool children or younger may still require assistance.

      • Toddler 1 - Diapering changing was observed in the room, however, staff did not wash the child's hands after diapering. Staff's hands were also not washed afterwards.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler 1 - Bleach solution in the wiping cloth bin was measured to be less than 100ppm.Older Preschool - Bleach solution in the wiping cloth bin was measured to be less than 100ppm.
    • 29. Are washrooms / bathing facilities properly constructed, maintained and supplied (Non-Critical)?

      • Toddler 1 - Diapering changing was observed in the room, however, staff did not wash hands after diapering.Older preschool - staff was observed washing hands but did not dry them.

      • Baby Room - A Soother was observed to be washed in the hand sink used for handwashing after diapering. Spoke with director and they will no longer wash soothers in the hand sink. Please ensure proper sanitary storage is available.

      • Preschool bathroom- two ceiling tiles had visible water staining. Ensure no active leaks and replace tiles.

      • Infant room - larger toys and equipment (kitchen centre) were visibly dirty. Please clean these areas more thoroughly.

      • Preschool bathroom - ceiling fan was visibly dirty. Please clean this area to ensure adequate ventilation.
