      • Semi-critical tools are being disinfected in an ultrasonic cleaner with 50:50 dilution of water and HLD5. The steps for reprocessing semi-critical instruments are not correctly followed. - According to the manufacturer's instructions, do not dilute the high-level disinfectant (HLD5). Wash tools with soap and water, rinse, thoroughly dry prior to fully submerging in undiluted high-level disinfectants for the required contact time provided by the manufacturer. Rinse with water afterwards and store in a clean/dry location.Ensure that all semi-critical instruments are reprocessed following proper procedures to achieve adequate disinfection and prevent potential risk of infection transmission.
