      • QUATS sanitizer test strips were not present in the meat cutting area. **Ensure test strips are present at all times to measure sanitizer concentration.

      • No liquid soap was available at the produce department's sink system at the time of the inspection.A pump dispenser of liquid soap was located and brought to the department during the inspection.Ensure that staff are washing their hands for food handling at the designated sink area and not in the staff washrooms.

      • The right bay open display refrigerator of the produce department was measured to be holding food between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius during the inspection.The facility had temperature logs from throughout the day available which demonstrated that the temperature was slowly decreasing since power had been restored.Facility was directed to move chopped salads and any other high risk food item to a cooler with a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius or less and were to monitor the temperature of the right produce bay to confirm it returned to normal operating temperature.

      • The produce department was without liquid soap for handwashing during the inspection.Produce food handling was occurring at the time and staff members were utilizing gloves.It was indicated that staff were washing their hands in the nearby staff washroom instead of the department's 3-compartment sink system due to the missing supplies.Handwashing is to occur in the department and handwashing supplies must be available at all times.

      • QUAT sanitizer solution in the meat department was not dispensed to 200 ppm during the inspection. Correction:- Ensure that distribution lines are in good repair and operating as intended by the manufacturer.- Ensure that the QUAT sanitizer solution is at 200 ppm.

      • The weatherstripping for the back man door was in disrepair, being a potential entry point for pests. New weather stripping has been purchased and was observed to be onsite awaiting installation at the time of the inspection.Ensure that the weather stripping on the door is replaced and made to seal the door.

      • The weatherstripping for the back man door was in disrepair, being a potential entry point for pests. Ensure that the weather stripping on the door is replaced and made to seal the door.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • At the time of the inspection, the drain pipe for the meat department's handwashing sink was detached and waste water was not directed to the sanitary sewer system.The drain was reattached to the sink and a plumber would take a look at it to ensure that a similar situation did not re-occur. Ensure that all plumbing lines are connected and operating as intended.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • The inside push handle of the meat department's walk-in cooler is cracked and damaged exposing sharp plastic that poses a hazard for cuts for staff members.Ensure the inside push handle has been replaced and that it is in good condition.
