    • 12. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool providing a safe environment (Critical)?
      • The maximum flow rate of the whirlpool exceeds the rating of the main drain covers. - Jet flow rate = 50 X 2 = 100gpm - Jet +recirculation flow rate = 100gpm + 80gpm = 180gpm. This is exceeding the main drain covers maximum flow rating of 178gpm. Please re-test the jet pumps to confirm the maximum flow rate. If the max flow rate is still exceeding the drain cover rating of 178gpm modifications will be required to be made to adjust the max flow to a level below the drain cover maximum rating. Alternatively, new higher rated main drain covers could be installed.

      • Turnover rate for the whirlpool is 25 minutes which exceeds the 20 minutes requirements of the pool standards.-Operator disclosed that plans are being made to replace the filter by the end of the year-In the interim do a backwash to clean up filters -Flow rate needed for the whirlpool based on the water volume of 1500usg would be 75gpm minimum.

      • 2X Drain covers expired March 1, 2022 -The operator has ordered new drain covers on priority delivery that would be installed upon arrive (Estimated time of arrival 14th December 2023)-Please provide a copy of the updated anti-entrapment plan as soon as the drain covers are installed, include updated certificate of compliance
