      • Holes observed in walls in bathroom near playground door (behind toilet) and in Ladies bathroom (near door). Please seal any holes in the facility as it can provide a harbourage space for mice.

      • Mount Elabrus:Debris and dust noted around washroom hand sinks.Debris noted on carpetsPlease ensure that the surfaces and carpets are cleaned on a regular interval and when soiled.*Diaper mat needs to be kept out of reach of children. Please hang up the diaper mat.Mount Rundle: Door handle was duct taped, peeling making it difficult to clean. The door handle is a high touch surface that needs to be able to be cleaned and disinfected.Please ensure that the door handle can be cleaned and disinfected regularly and completely.

      • First aids kits observed were not fully stocked. Please ensure that the first aid kits are fully stocked.Discussed the requirements for the first aid kits.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • Mt. Blanc: Mini Fridge was at 9C. Milk bottle (child's bottle) was removed at time of inspection.Please ensure that the fridge is at 4C or lower prior to use.(Mt. Elbarus mini fridge was at 9C - not in use for children's items at time of inspection. Please ensure the fridge is below 4C before use). OUTSTANDING: Was at 10C at time of re-inspection. All milk was removed.

      • The middle bathroom (accessible) did not have paper towel. Paper towel was provided during inspection. Please ensure all supplies are checked regularly for bathrooms.

      • July 2023 - OUTSTANDING.Temperature at Mount Robson measured at 60C.Temperature at girls washroom measured to be 56.8C.Please have this concern addressed as soon as possible. Ensure all staff and children are aware to have cold turned on with hot. The water temperature was measured to be hot at several of the hand sinks. Elbrus was measured to be 55C. It is strongly recommended that the temperature of the hand sinks accessible to children has a temperature no greater than 49C.Mixing valves or tempering devices at the hand sink or hot water tank may be required to help regulate the temperature at the children's hand sinks.
