    • R4.5 - Are incidents and notifications reported and records retained as required?
      • Observation(s): April 30, 2024 Contravention – The Licensee does not have a system in place to ensure compliance with keeping a record of all reportable incidents.
      • R4.5J - Retain a record of reportable incidents involving persons in care; 88(c)
    • R7.1 - Are the physical facility, equipment and furnishings maintained, sanitary, accessible and appropriate for persons in care?
      • Observation(s): April 30, 2024 Contravention – During the last Routine Inspection monitoring of the outside area of the facility including patios for use by persons in care was discussed. It was determined at that time that a system was not in place. The Manager added monitoring and cleaning of the outdoor areas to the maintenance checklist. During this inspection it was noted that there was no documented evidence of monitoring and/or cleaning being conducted. The Manager reported that this will be corrected. Comment – The Licensee has a system in place to ensure that water temperature is being monitored. Upon discussion the Manager stated that the system will be revised to ensure that water temperature monitoring is being conducted in all person in care’s rooms.

    • R6.3 - Does the facility demonstrate appropriate outbreak prevention and control measures?
      • Observation(s): October 5, 2022 Contravention - The Licensee's system to ensure that employees follow protocol for fridge temperature monitoring is ineffective. It was noted during the inspection that temperatures were not documented daily as per the directive. Safe storage for meat thawing was also discussed.
