      • Plastic mesh crates directly on the floor were being used to store prepared bagels. Do not store food directly on the floor to protect from contamination and to allow for proper cleaning. An empty crate was placed on the bottom below the crates containing bagels at the time of the inspection.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • The handles on the prep cooler doors were greasy to the touch. Please regularly clean and sanitize high touch areas such as cooler handles.

      • The facility needs a deep clean. The hard-to-reach areas such as the floor under and behind equipment throughout, the floor in the walk-in cooler, and the area where the walls meet the floors have a build-up of grime and food debris.Please clean.

      • November 5, 2025:Fruit flies were observed on some walls in the facility. Coordinate with a pest control professional to address the issues with the flies.August 18, 2025:Two flies observed in the main service area. The facility should be free from pests and controlled in a manner that prevents flies from increasing in numbers. Coordinate with a pest control professional to address the issues with the flies. In the meantime, ensure cleaning is conducted regularly and frequently to prevent the attraction of flies and cover food when not in use.

      • Several raw eggs were stored at room temperature and measured 24C. Raw eggs must be stored at 7C or below to prevent the growth of bacteria. Refrain from storing high-risk foods such as eggs at room temperature. The operator discarded the eggs during the time of the inspection.

      • There is dust accumulating on the ceiling panels in the back food prep area. The operator stated they contacted a professional cleaning company to remove the dust from the ceiling panels. All surfaces including the ceiling panels must be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Please clean.
