Re-usable equipment is not being fully submerged in disinfectant. Staff are not following manufacturer's instructions.

      • Some re-usable equipment such as nippers and clippers have become rusted and are no longer to be re-used. All equipment must remain in a condition that renders them easy to clean.

      • Used single use items were observed in varying drawers of the manicure stations. Single use items are to be discarded immediately after use.

      • 1. Items were not being fully submerged in disinfectant. Equipment is to be fully submerged in high level disinfectant. 2. Test strips for high level disinfectant have expired. 3. Items are being left in high level disinfectant overnight. Manufacturer's instructions are not being followed which required only 20 minutes.
