      • The hand held portable facial spatula (Skin Scrubber B-Scrub PRO Beautifly) is energy emitting. The manufacturer's instruction for use (MIFU) is required. Provide this office with a copy. Otherwise, remove this piece of equipment from the facility.

      • Improper high-level indicator test strips are being used. Obtain proper indicator test strips. If using PreEmpt CS20, buy AHP7 indicator test strips (50 count). If using PreEmpt HLD5, buy AHP2 indicator test strips (100 count).Because the facility does not have proper indicator test strips, the high-level disinfectant will need to be discarded after each use.

Ensure clients are provided with verbal and written care instructions when these types of services are provided.

      • Re-iterated the requirement to not use a disinfectant on porous/uncleanable equipment (i.e. nail brush etc.). Clean the tools using soap/water, hydrogen peroxide or isopropyl alcohol. Do not use a disinfectant. If porous/uncleanable equipment is used on non-intact skin and/or mucous membranes, it must be discarded after each use.
