      • Water cooler bottle is being re-filled but difficult to clean and sanitize the inside of the bottle. Was advised are going to hook up a water line directly to the cooler.

Add a label to the disinfectant container indicating the name and contact time of the high-level disinfectant.

    • 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
      • The low-level disinfectant being used (pre-empt concentrate) on surfaces, hot stones, etc. was expired. New product was ordered.There was also some disinfecting wipes (Great Value) with no expiration date on the container. Unsure if these are being used but if used for any surface that requires disinfecting, please obtain a suitable product that has an expiration date.

      • Water cooler bottle is being re-filled but do not have proper equipment on-site to clean and sanitize it. Please purchase bottles that are already sanitized and filled.No written cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Written procedures should be developed to ensure all staff are aware of what surfaces and items need cleaning, low level and/or high level disinfection.There were some spray bottles of chemical that were not labelled as to their contents. Ensure all spray bottles are labelled and those that contain a disinfectant should also have an expiration date on the bottle as per the expiration date on the original bottle or if the manufacturer states the product must be used within e.g. 30 days of dilution (e.g. Pre-empt concentrate), then please provide that date on the bottle.

      • Re-usable mugs are provided to guests for tea, these mugs are not being washed and sanitized properly. -Please ensure that if re-usable mugs are provided, they are first washed using a detergent, then rinsed, then submerged in an approved sanitizer solution such as 100 ppm chlorine for at least 2 minutes. Or provide only disposable utensils.

      • 1) Semi-critical equipment (nail clippers, cuticle nippers, etc.) were not being disinfected using a high-level disinfectant. Operators indicated they use PreEmpt RTU which is a low-level disinfectant. - Please ensure that any semi-critical equipment is disinfected with a high-level disinfectant. 2) High-level disinfectant concentrations must be tracked and recorded daily using appropriate test strips. - Please acquire appropriate test strips for the high-level disinfectant and ensure that that the concentration is tested and recorded daily. Add a label to the disinfectant container indicating the name and contact time of the high-level disinfectant.
