      • A scoop was observed stored in a green food container with handle touching the product. Ensure that scoops are stored in such a manner that the handles do not come in contact with food.**Scoop was placed vertically with handle away from the product during the inspection

      • There was food debris accumulation noted:1) On the bottom shelf and inside the door on the bottom shelf of the beverage cooler at the front coffee counter.2) On the bottom of the shelf of the milk cooler at the front coffee counter.3) On the top of the microwave inside the kitchen.4) On the outside of the stainless-steel doors of the fridge in the main upstairs kitchen.5) On the floor behind the green bulk storage containers in the upstairs dry storage area.6) On the bottom shelf and door shelves of upstairs freezer in the dry storage room.7) On the bottom shelf and door shelves of upstairs fridge in the dry storage room.8) On the bottom shelf of the basement stand up 1 freezer.9) On the bottom shelf of the basement stand up 2 freezer.10) Inside the small white fridge/freezer unit that is in storage in the basement near the handwashing sink.- Clean indicated areas.

      • Fly strips were observed placed above a food handling area in the main kitchen. Fly strips were moved during inspection.
    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • The hand wash sink for the coffee service area did not contain sufficient paper towel. The dispenser for paper towel in the basement staff washroom was not operating. Paper towel was replaced during inspection. An alternate dispenser was provided for the basement washroom.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • A hole was noted in the ceiling in the back storage area by the standing freezers. This area should be cleanable and enclosed due to the presence of open containers and utensils. Patch hole to render a smooth cleanable surface. Alternatively, ensure that no open container, food, or utensil storage is present in this area.
