      • A room air spray labelled "keep out of reach of children" was observed to be stored in an unlocked cabinet in the baby room. Ensure all chemicals are stored out of reach of children. The operator relocated the indicated room spray during the inspection.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • A buildup of debris was observed beneath the diapering pads in the baby and toddler rooms. Ensure the indicated areas are cleaned and sanitized.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • The hot water temperature at the handwashing sink in the infant room was measured at 54.6 degrees Celsius with a probe thermometer. Ensure the temperature is adjusted to be below 54 degrees Celsius. The recommended maximum hot water temperature is 49 degrees Celsius.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • A small bottle of paint in the toddler room was observed with a label indicating it is meant for use by children ages 5 and above. Please ensure paint products are age appropriate. The operator removed the indicated paint bottle from the toddler room during the inspection.

      • 1. Paint was peeling off the walls near the door in the Preschool 1 room.2. Ceiling tiles were water stained in the Kinder washroom. Investigate and remove the source of water infiltration and replace the affected tiles.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Antiseptic wipes expired in January 2017 and March 2014. Replace antiseptic wipes in the first aid kits.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Round children's table surface was damaged and was not washable in the Kinder room. Repair or replace the table.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Cubbies were shared between children in the Toddler room. Ensure that 12 cubbies/hooks are provided for 12 children in the room.
    • 30. Are workers washing hands when appropriate and/or in a proper manner?
      • Hand sanitizer observed in Toddler room expired in April 2022. It was discarded during the inspection.
