    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • A hand-washing sink was not observed. The operator stocked the hand-washing sink during the inspection. Please ensure that the handwashing sink remains fully stocked at all times.
    • 24. Is solid and liquid waste being managed in a suitable manner?
      • A garbage bin was not observed in the kitchen area. The operator grabbed a garbage bin during the inspection. The operator was further advised to ensure that a garbage receptacle is present in the kitchen area.

      • Sep 2025 Renovations were planned. plans requested.Feb 2025***The cupboard doors/drawers were damaged/in disrepair and were not cleaned/cleanable. Discussed and if the handles/surfacing cannot be cleaned they are to be replaced. Doors are to be securely mounted and close properly.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Sep 2025Renovation was planned, plans requested.Feb 2025***The light level in the kitchen was inadequate.

      • ***The preschool room refrigerator was 8C. Staff had recorded that it was 2C in the morning. They will check and ensure that the unit returns to 4C or less.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • ***The cupboard doors/drawers were damaged/in disrepair and were not cleaned/cleanable. Discussed and if the handles/surfacing cannot be cleaned they are to be replaced. Doors are to be securely mounted and close properly.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • ***The light level in the kitchen was inadequate.

    • 08. Do food handlers ensure that food is protected from contamination (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • ***The door between the kitchen and the laundry room was open. There was dishwashing and laundry both happening at this time. Discussed and the door was closed.If an appropriate solution cannot be found to ensure that the door remains shut between the food and incomparable activities the doorway will have to be removed. Options may include having a self closing device on the door, closing the door and locking it shut, removing the door and have a wall there.

      • ***The door between the kitchen and the laundry room had been left open. It was closed upon request during the inspection.

      • ***the food safety record keeping was discussed template will be provided with this report.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • ***The temperature of one of the milk jugs was 18C (staff discarded right away). There had been an insulated thermos previously that had broken. Discussed that smaller amounts out that are then discarded is also acceptable.
