I used to skip out of class and come down here for sausage rolls all the time when I was in high school. Was that responsible? No. Was it worth it? Yes. I've tried a variety of their other products as well, and the worst of their baked goods are merely mediocre. The vast majority ranges from quite good to excellent. But those sausage rolls... This place basically kept me alive back when I was a constantly-famished teenager willing to sacrifice my entire education for a bit of protein wrapped in pastry. Those sausage rolls are to die for.

Amazing Bakery and very generous owners and staff 😊
- Armstrong Carpet Care Inc
Bread is incredibly fresh and often just as or more affordable than grocery store bread. Once you get used to that yeasty aroma of bread made daily you can't go back. A decent selection of fresh sweets as well! Absolutely loved the jam donuts ❤

5 ☆ BAKERY I bought nice sourdough loaves. I stayed for a cherry Danish and a fresh cup of coffee. I was happy to support a historic bakery in Armstrong. Did you know that the building has been there and a Bakery for over 100 years? In these tough times for many small businesses struggling with lack of staff and higher costs it was my pleasure to buy from a dedicated little bakery. I'll keep supporting The Little Guy anyday.

Well, the bakery is open again which was exciting… until we tried the food. $7 for a sandwich that smelled of old cheese (obv whatever cheese they sprinkled on buns before baking had spoiled, had a gross strong smell to it, disgusting), the danishes were dry because they lacked a glaze as well. Will not be coming back and sticking to overpriced askews food because its at least edible. VERY disappointed and feeling almost ripped off.

Not the same experience I remember having when I came here years ago. The cupcake was dry and there's no way it was baked same day. The German chocolate cake was also dry. I won't go back again. Too bad.

I just moves to town. I have been drawn to this place twice in a week. Each time I was served by different young women. And each time I left 'feeling' like my business mattered. The demeanor of both was positively infectious. The products are delicious but I would go back just to interact with each of these woman. I don't often experience this level of service thankyou ladies

This place has gone downhill since the new owners took over. The ham and cheese sandwiches they sell are made with stale cheese buns and the meat tastes old. They changed the recipe for their long johns and now fill them with butter cream instead of whipped cream. Anyone who bakes knows that buttercream doesn’t belong in a long john. They only changed the recipe so the donuts would last longer and they wouldn’t have to make them fresh every day. When asked the cashier at the front told us everything was made in house, despite the fact that you can see the ingredients list from the store they bought the baked goods from. This bakery has been a staple in armstrong for decades so disappointed to see the new owners completely run it to the ground. Don’t go here

Friendly staff, tasty goodies! I bring the kids in a couple of times a week for a treat of cookies or freshly made doughnuts. If you like rye, try the Danish rye, it's delicious and as satisfying as a meal in a slice.

Their bread is so delicious and fresh. I love that they do not add any artificial flavors or chemicals in their baked goods. Their donuts and cookies are delicious! The staff is super friendly and helpful. This is my go-to bakery here in Armstrong!

When we walked into the bakery on June 16, 2023, the new owner introduced himself. We ordered six oatmeal cookies, two apple strudels and two blueberry oat muffins. He used a handheld calculator to reach a total. I asked for a receipt but …

I love sweets and have so many favorites at Armstrong Bakery! The beet cake, made with local beets and carrots with cream cheese frosting is so delicious! It's a close tie with the brownies! Their famous Barn Dance cookies and Sk. Scuffles are a must. I love 5 grain bread, no preservatives or additives and always fresh!

Amazing bakery. Friendly helpful staff were very kind to me and my service dog, Shamu. Baguettes were fresh as all get out, location was convienient and the air inside was thick with the smells of delicious breads. Highly recommend.

Another old time business in town that has sold and gone downhill substantially. Their donuts and sandwiches are still very good, but expensive for what they are, and service is lacking.
- Rebecca
Cake donut was frozen and the buns are stale. Paid premium for low quality.

I like the Bakery but the old guy that hangs around out front by door and smokes his cigarette. Not acceptable. Then goes inside and doesn't wear a mask. No! I won't go back to this business.

Awesome bakery being the strudel and focaccia bread my favorites. Totally worth the 5 min detour on my way to Vernon.

This is an absolute gem, great sandwiches and the baked goods are outstanding. Staff are fantastic

Ever since the new owner took over the place has gone downhill, half the time they aren't even open, and when they are open, they are out of almost everything, also looks like they fired most of the employees I was familiar with and were super helpful, new ones not so much.

Way too sweet. Can’t taste anything other than sugar.
