- 10. Is cleansing and antisepsis of skin and mucous membrane performed in accordance to written procedures and are suitable products being used?
- The isopropyl alcohol does not have a DIN or NPN. Antiseptics must have a DIN or NPN to indicate it has been approved by Health Canada. Please obtain.
- 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
- There was a cuticle clipper with rust. Reusable tools and equipment must be maintained in good repair to ensure proper cleaning and disinfection is performed. Visually inspect the tools prior to cleaning and disinfection. Assess the condition of the tools and discard/replace when needed.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- No test strips available for the high-level disinfectant. Test strips are required to confirm the concentration of the high-level disinfectant to ensure tools are properly disinfected. Please obtain.
