      • The bed cots in the daycare room were observed to be stored with items such as a dust pan touching the edge of the beds. Facility staff moved the items and stored them away from the bed cots during the inspection.Ensure that bed cots are protected from contamination by storing them in sanitary manner.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • When discussing procedures of toy washing, facility staff indicated that toy washing for the daycare room is conducted in the sink dedicated for hand hygiene during diapering.Facility staff were instructed to use separate sinks for toy washing and diapering. Toy washing was recommended to be conducted in the OSC room. Ensure that separate sinks are used for toy washing and diapering to prevent the potential cross contamination of biological pathogens.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Sensory items (such as shells) contained in plastic containers were observed to be stored on a low-level shelf accessible to all children. Facility staff indicated these sensory items are for play of older children.Facility staff moved the sensory items to a higher shelf.Ensure that toys that are easily accessible to children do not pose as a hazard.

      • - Shaving cream with label indicating "Keep out of reach of children" observed in use for arts and craft. Containers of shaving cream set aside for removal from the facility. Ensure that all arts and crafts materials are non-toxic and/or have the Approved Product Seal by the Art and Creative Materials Institute. Products with the “Cautionary Label Seal” should not be used with young children. Refer to the Arts and Crafts Safety guidelines provided for more information.- Paper towel dispenser near the hand washing sink found dusty. Dispenser cleaned and sanitized during the inspection. Ensure that paper towel dispensers are routinely cleaned and sanitized.

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • The surface of the diaper change table, underneath the change pad, required cleaning.Surface cleaned and disinfected with 1000ppm chlorine solution at the time of inspection. Ensure that the change pad is lifted and wiped down after each use.
