      • Observation(s): a) Staff report that a sanitizer is not used during the washing process for blenders. All food equipment used for processing/preparing foods for customer/public consumption must be sanitized during the washing process. approved sanitizers include chlorine bleach and quaternary ammonium compounds (Quats). To prepare a bleach solution for sanitizing wares mix 2 1/2 mls of household bleach per 1 litre of water and submerse wares and utensils. b) To minimize contamination of the wash sink a sign must be posted at the sink advising gym users that the sink is not for customer use. The wash sink is to be used only for the preparation of food products/washing of food equipment. To be strictly adhered to.
