      • Preschool room - The window blind cords were observed to be hanging down. Please ensure window draw cords are stored out of the reach of children at all times.

      • Preschool bathroom - a water stained ceiling tile was observed around the smoke alarm. Please ensure any leaks are investigated and repaired. Replace the ceiling tile.

      • Low lighting observed in the OSC girls washroom.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Preschool bathroom - the bathroom fan was making a loud noise and was not properly operational. Repair required.Toddler room - there was exposed wood on the counter by the changing area. Please ensure all counter surfaces are in good repair, smooth and cleanable.

      • Water temperatures throughout the daycare and OSC were too hot. Water temperature should be less than 49C to prevent scalding. - infant room 57C- Toddler room 49.1C- OSC 56C- OSC washrooms 58CAll faucets that are accessible to the children should have a temperature regulator or mixing valve to decrease the faucet temperature.

      • Holes present in the wall above the soap dispenser, repair required.Some water staining was observed on the ceiling tiles in the toddler/preschool bathroom. Please ensure no active leaks are present. Replace tiles.

      • The finish on the top of the door to the toddler room was wearing and exposing wood. Refinishing required to ensure the surfacing is smooth and cleanable.

      • Paper towel and toilet paper were not installed on the dispensers.The box covering the electrical outlet in the OSC requires cleaning and securing to prevent access to the outlet.

      • OSC - There was a hole in the bathroom wall. Repair required.The side edge of the door requires finishing.The shelf in the bathroom beside the toilet requires finishing so that it is smooth and cleanable.
