      • The shelf on the right side of the walk-in freezer was observed to be unclean and in disrepair. The shelf was constructed of wood and therefore not durable or easily cleanable.The owner indicated that the shelf would be replaced in the coming months. Please ensure that the shelf is replaced with one that is made of materials that are durable, non-porous, and easily cleanable.September 18th, 2025 - the shelf was cleaned exceptionally well for the inspection and owner enquired about treating the wood as a means of retaining the shelf. Inspector informed owner that the material of shelf was still inappropriate for its use as it is porous, non-durable, and not easily cleanable. Owner still expected to replace shelf in the coming months.

      • There was an opened can of hoisin sauce in the walk-in cooler.Canned food cannot be stored in its original can after opening and must be moved to food-grade containers for storage.The hoisin sauce was immediately discarded.

      • Multiple of the bulk containers were observed to have the scoops stored inside of the container with the handles down.The scoops in the bulk container were observed to have a build-up of food.The outsides and lids of the bulk containers were observed to have a build-up of food debris.Please ensure that the bulk containers and the scoops are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.Please ensure that scoops are stored outside of the container or inside of the container with the handles facing up to mitigate cross-contamination.

      • The handwashing station in the kitchen had a bucket of sanitizer inside of it.Operator immediately removed the sanitizer bucket to ensure that the handwashing station was accessible.

      • The shelf on the right side of the walk-in freezer was observed to be unclean and in disrepair.       • Handwash station was obstructed by a cart.This was corrected during the inspection. Operator removed the cart.Please ensure that handwash sinks are available at all times for observing handwashing.

      • Bathroom door in the kitchen was open.Operator corrected this during the inspection and closed the door. Please ensure the bathroom door is kept closed at all times.

      • Hood vent was past its service expiry date. Please ensure the hood vent is serviced to prevent smoke, odour and vapour build up.
