      • Milk 2GO Strawberry milk drinks were found beyond their best before dates. Operator discarded.

      • A permit was not posted. Please ensure a valid food handling permit is posted in a conspicuous location.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • REPEAT. The ventilation system was due for servicing. Please contact and schedule servicing.Please ensure the ventilation system is serviced within this time period. Light fixtures were missing covers in the back storage room. Please install covers.

      • The operator indicated that the ice cream scoop is washed with soap and water after each use. However, operator was asked to sanitize/disinfect after each use or have multiple scoops to rotate throughout the day. Please ensure that you are cleaning, sanitizing, and storing your ice cream in a manner that protects food from cross-contamination.

      • There was a pop and syrup spill underneath shelving unit where syrup is stored in back room. Please ensure that the indicated areas have been cleaned and sanitized adequately. Additionally, operator was asked to create a cleaning schedule for areas around the facility.

      • The Breyers freezer containing single-serve pre-packaged ice cream and frozen treats was unable to keep the products adequately frozen and resulted in products thawing and leaking all over the other products. Multiple items were observed to have damaged packaging.The operator was instructed to discard a couple of the damaged items before posting an "OUT OF ORDER" sign on the freezer and instructed to not sell any of the products to patrons. The owner (offsite) informed inspector that the company had been contacted and were sending out a maintenance representative to fix the equipment and that they needed to retain the products in order to be issued compensation. A follow-up inspection is to be conducted the following week to ensure that all of the products have been discarded. Please ensure that all food is stored in a manner that protects it from contamination.Please ensure that all of the products in the Breyers freezer are discarded.

      • The Breyers ice cream freezer was not keeping adequate temperature to freeze the products inside of it. All of the single serve, pre-packaged ice-cream and frozen treats had undergone temperature abuse and were misshapen and malformed.Inspector had operator put "OUT OF ORDER" sign on the freezer and was instructed to not sell the products inside.Please ensure that all food is being stored at the appropriate temperatures in order to prevent bacterial growth and maximize food safety.

      • The bulk ice cream showed signs of thawing and refreezing, indicating that the freezer is unable to maintain an adequate temperature. The freezers built-in thermometer was reading a colder temperature than the inspectors thermometer. There was no secondary thermometer on site for staff to monitor temperatures.Please ensure that your facility has a secondary thermometer for monitoring cold and hot holding temperatures. All temperatures should be monitored and recorded twice daily (at the beginning and ending of the day) to ensure that equipment is adequately controlling temperature and that the built-in thermometers on the equipment are adequately calibrated.
