      • Staff report finding mouse droppings on the kitchen floor, though not in the cupboards themselves, in the pantry, and in some of the classrooms. Signs were not visible at the time of inspection, but staff indicated that they clean and disinfect surfaces first thing in the morning.Jan 22: spoke with staff. Orkin is coming in weekly to check and adjust traps and to find and seal entry points. Fewer signs of mice are being reported but the occasional mouse is still being caught in the traps. Weekly pest control visits will continue for now.Feb 6/24: Weekly visits by Orkin continue and they are trapping about one mouse per week. The mice appear to be contained to the closets of two of the classrooms. Pest control continues to do weekly site visits to empty traps and add more as needed. The situation will continue to be monitored.

Signs were not visible at the time of inspection, but staff indicated that they clean and disinfect surfaces first thing in the morning.The kitchen and pantry were inspected. No droppings were noted at that time but staff indicated dropping found more in the pantry area in the mornings. Foods are all in sealed containers up off the floor. A hamper was moved away from the shelves to remove a potential climbing surface up to the shelves.Orkin does monthly visit to help with pest control but have not been onsite since before the holidays. Please reach out and book a site visit as soon as possible. They can check traps, add more traps, and help ID where they may be coming in.Until Orkin can come, cheap wooden mouse traps can be set out at the end of the day in areas where droppings are found to try and catch mice overnight.
