      • Storage of children's belongings in Room 5 on the hooks were observed to be crowded and items touching each other. **Reorganize and ensure there is adequate separation of children's personal belongings.

      • A live boxelder insect was observed in Room 2 (Basement room) and a significant amount of dead boxelder insects were observed on a sticky trap by the window. **Please inspect and remedy any points of entry for insects. Contact professional pest control company if increased level of insects are observed.

      • 1. Plush items and play clothes were observed to be laying directly on the heaters in Room 3 (upstairs toddler room). **Move plush items and play clothes away from the heaters so they are not touching/blocking the heater.2. Items were observed to be stored in the washroom such as brown cushions in Room 3. **Do not store play items used for children in the washroom due to potential fecal or vomit cross contamination.

      • 5) Various holes were observed throughout the facility including: - Preschool 1 room: Adjacent to the door- Preschool 2 room: holes on a wall closest to the exit to the exterior. - Toddler 1 room: adjacent to the window and duct tape observed on the wall covering a large gap where the play mirror is installed.**Repair and refinish the areas.

      • 1. The laminate finish along the side of the kitchen counter adjacent to the stove was observed to be lifting and peeling. **Repair. Ensure material used is smooth, easily cleanable and water resistant. 2) A large portion of caulking was observed behind the faucet of the hand washing sink in the kitchen. The caulking was observed to be uneven and cracking in some areas. **Remove caulking as the current condition can cause pooling of water. Ensure the material underneath the caulking is smooth, easily cleanable and water resistant. 3) There was a large portion of flooring missing underneath the kitchen stove. An accumulation of dirt/debris was observed. **Clean and repair the indicated area. At the time of the inspection the top loading washing machine door was opened. **Install child proof locks on the doors to the washing machine and dryer.2. A crib was observed too close to the window covering and cord. **Move the location of the crib when in use away from the window covering and cord.3. The bleach sanitizer bottle in the upstairs infant room and upstairs toddler room were located in an easily accessible location for the children. **Ensure all chemicals are stored in a location that is not easily accessible to the children.***CORRECTED.

      • The maximum hot water temperature in the bathroom in the main floor north classroom was measured at 55 degrees Celsius and fluctuated to 43-46 degrees Celsius. **Repair. Ensure the maximum hot water temperature is less than 54 degrees Celsius. Recommend 49 degrees Celsius.

      • The base surface of several diapering tables were found to have a buildup of dirt and debris. Ensure diapering tables are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected on a more routine basis.

      • The basement bathroom did not appear to have working mechanical ventilation at the time of inspection. The window available for natural ventilation could not be opened. Ensure natural or mechanical ventilation of this bathroom can be achieved.
