      • 1. Skin was not being cleansed before waxing procedures. **Ensure skin is cleansed before waxing. 2. No antiseptic being used for facial extractions. **Ensure there is an antiseptic step in the area of skin before performing facial extractions.***OPERATOR WILL USE ALCOHOL SPRAY ON QTIP ONSITE THAT WILL BE APPLIED TO THE AREA OF EXTRACTION.

      • Clean nippers were being stored in a towel. **Ensure clean nippers are being stored in a sanitary manner. Recommend storage with a lid that is labelled as clean tools.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. Isopropyl alcohol was being used as a disinfectant for tweezers for waxing. **Isopropyl alcohol is no longer being recognized as an approved disinfectant. Please use a low level disinfectant for your tweezers (ex. Lysol wipes). A two wipe method is acceptable to clean the tweezer. First wipe is the clean step to remove any debris and the second wipe is the disinfectant step. Ensure the wet contact time is met.2. Expired low level disinfectant wipes observed. Expiry 2022. **Obtain new low level disinfectant wipes.3. The shower curtain liner on the client bed is not being disinfected after each client. Note: Towels are being placed on top of shower curtain liner and removed after each client. **Disinfect the shower curtain liner after each client.
