      • pH was >8.4 as the pool test kit used read Over Range. Chemical controller was reading 8.0
    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Chemical controller was not feeding as the flow sensor noted that there was no flow in the system. The salt chlorine generator was also in alarm and was flashing no flow. Pressure on the sand filter was 48 PSI.

      • The flow meter was stuck and not reading. Repair flow meter as this has been noted on numerous inspections.

      • Testing records do not match the values of the pool equipment at time of inspection. Test records were noted as being completed at 10:30am. This was 10 minutes before the inspection commenced. Values taken from the controller and manual tests were not consistent.

      • Updated anti-entrapment compliance plan required to be updated as a new suction outlet cover was installed as well as motor work completed on the pump. Records note the pump installed is a 1 HP not 3/4 HP listed in the report from 2022.

      • The flow meter was stuck and not reading. Repair or replace to ensure flow can be measured.

      • The finish of the west wall of the pool basin is bubbling and blistering rendering it difficult to clean. Refinish the basin wall to ensure that the finish is smooth, in good repair and easy to clean. Owner stated they are planning to repair the wall in December.

      • A set of vise grips was affixed to the salt chlorine cell to address a leak. This was noted during the last inspection in April and the operator stated a replacement was to be installed. Advise replacement timeframe as soon as possible.

      • The finish of the west wall of the pool basin is bubbling and blistering rendering it difficult to clean. Refinish the basin wall to ensure that the finish is smooth, in good repair and easy to clean. Provide an estimated time frame for repair to the basin.

      • 1. The flow meter float was stuck and did not return to 0 GPM when the pump was turned off. Clean and reinstall flow meter. If the flow meter cannot be repaired install a new properly working flow meter.2. A set of vise grips was affixed to the salt chlorine cell. The pool operator stated that this was to address a slight leak. A new salt cell has been ordered to replace the leaking one. Ensure replacement is installed.

Take all necessary action to ensure microbiologically safe water. Submit a new microbiological water sample at your earliest convenience once the water chemistry is balanced.

      • Free chlorine was measured at 0.10 ppm. Free chlorine residual must be at 1.0 ppm or more.

      • The automated controller was not feeding chlorine in the pool as the ORP reading was higher than the set point. Service and adjust the controller system as appropriate to ensure the pool is maintaining the correct disinfectant concentration.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • A significant scum line was noted on the pool wall just above the water level around the perimeter of the pool basin. Clean and remove the scum line.
