    • 02. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • Pseudomonas isolated from sample submitted on May 6
    • 04. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • Inspector's readings from a sample collected from the hot tub basin:**Free chlorine-0.28ppm**Combine Chlorine - 1.52ppm-Total chlorine - 1.80ppm- pH-7.29- ALK - 70ppmReadings from a sample collected from the controller's tap- Free chlorine - 0.28ppm- Combine Chlorine - 0.57ppm- Total Chlorine - 0.84ppm- pH - 7.31- ALK - 75ppmReadings displayed on the controller at the time of the test: ORP-825mV; pH-6.8From the test results:- The free chlorine was significantly low and most of the chlorine in the basin was in the form of combine chlorine.- The test results were significantly different from those displayed on the controller. The readings from a sample collected in the mechanical room were also significantly different from that collected from the basinRECOMMENDED ACTIONS:1) Super chlorinate / shock chlorinate the pool to get rid of the high combine chlorine in the basin2) Clean and calibrate the probes to ensure that the readings on the controller and basin are as closed as possible3) Maintain free chlorine at 2ppm.
    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • ** The operator is not properly documenting pool chemistry records:- Example: On March 26/2024, pool chemistry was documented as follows: Free chlorine-0.43ppmppm; Total chlorine-0.04ppm and Combine chlorine - 0.39ppm. ** Total chlorine cannot be less than free chlorine because total chlorine is the sum of free and combine chlorine**. This practice was observed during past inspections and consistent in the March, April and May records.- Pool chemistry is not checked and documented after manual addition of chemicals in the pool.- There are no time stamps on the pool chemistry recordsACTION REQUIRED:1) Ensure that pool chemistry is properly documented.2) Ensure that a follow up pool chemistry test is done after manual addition of chemicals in the pool3) Ensure that the time pool test was conducted is documented on the records
