    • 16. Are proper testing, monitoring, and other records being properly maintained?
      • Daily water chemistry testing records are not being adequately maintained. There were no dates/ time on the recent records observed in the file.**Please ensure adequate records are kept at all times.

  5. Demand Inspection

    1 infraction

    • 02. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • Total coliforms = Present.**Operator to resample.
  6. Risk Management Inspection

  7. Monitoring Inspection

    1 infraction

    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • -The filtration rate was too high, calculated to be 16.1gpm/sq.ft. -The maximum designed flow rate of the TR100 filter is 74 GPM. The filtration system was operating at 79.1 GPM. Lower the filtration rate to between 50 GPM and 74 GPM to meet the minimum 4-hour turnover rate and to achieve a filtration rate that does not exceed 15gpm/sq.ft.

    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Total alkalinity = 43ppm.Please adjust the water chemistry to ensure total alkalinity is maintained at a range of 60-180ppm.
    • 14. Is the pool maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, good repair and are temperatures being properly regulated?
      • Debris/sludge was observed at the corners of the pool basin.**Please have the basin cleaned.

    • 02. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • 1. HPC result was > 57,000Pool ordered closed until resample demonstrates the water is bacteriologically clean.
    • 04. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • 1. Water chemistry records show the free chlorine was at 0.5 for six days, from Jun 9-14.The operator shocked the pool on Jun 16 and 17.PHI Measured Water Chemistry (Jun 18) FC > 8.0 pH 7.52
    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • PHI Measured Water Chemistry (18 Jun) Alk 58

    • 06. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Critical)?
      • The filtration rate was too high. The maximum filtration rate of the TR100 filter is 74 GPM. The filtration system was operating at 93 GPM. Lower the filtration rate to between 50 GPM and 74 GPM to meet the minimum 4 hour turnover rate.

  16. Monitoring Inspection

    1 infraction

    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • Sand Filter Model: Triton II TR100 high-rate sand. Surface area: 4.19 sqft. Maximum filtration rate/surface area: 15 GPM/sqft. Maximum specified filtration rate: 74 GPM Flow rate at time of inspection: 98.4 GPMFiltration Rate at the time of the inspection: 98.4GPM/4.19 sqft = 23.48 GPM/sqft 1. The flow rate through the sand filter greatly exceeds the maximum allowable flow rate for the filter. Reduce the circulation flow rate to the maximum allowable 74 GPM or less. The volume of the pool is 11,850 Gal. The flow meter was observed at 98.4 GPM at the time of inspection. This creates a turnover rate of 2.00 hours, which easily meets the required turnover rate of 4 hours. If the flow rate is reduced to the maximum allowable rate of 74 GPM, the turnover will be 2.7 hours, which is still well within the allowable 4 hours turnover for this pool. The automated controller in the maintenance room was observed to be reading at 730 ORP with a pH of 7.4.
