      • **OUTSTANDING**1. Unlabeled bags of meat products in the freezers. **January 6, 2025: frozen chicken in chest freezers not labeled. **COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING**1. Ensure all products are labeled to indicate the product name, their source and date of packaging. Spoke to staff about proper labelling.

      • **CORRECTED**1. Observed thawed fish in chest freezers. The Operator stated the fish was stored in a cooler that broke down sometime in the evening. When asked how long the cooler was broken down, and what the temperature of the cooler was when they discovered the cooler had broken down, the Operator was unsure. Fish was removed from the chest cooler and put into bags to be discarded by the Operator as a precaution.COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:1. Check temperatures of the coolers daily and record in a log sheet. 2. If the freezer is found to not be working and food shows signs of thawing, it should be discarded.

      • 1. Observed mouse droppings on floor around the shelves in the food storage side.COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:1. Clean and disinfect the mouse droppings using the precautions for safe handling of mouse droppings. Monitor the store for further droppings and take pest control actions if more droppings are observed.2. Complete the Alberta Health Services pest control checklist on a monthly basis.

      • 1) Piles of cardboard boxes in the back room. Remove boxes as pests such as cockroaches can live in these areas. 2) Gap in the bottom of the backdoor. Fix the gap with weather strips to prevent pests from entering from outside.
