    • 21. Is equipment that is intended to be sterile maintained sterile at the point of use?
      • 1) A disposable catheter, used in some mesotherapy services, did not have any sterility assurance documentation on the package.REQUIREMENT: Do not use these disposable catheters. Ensure all critical equipment purchased as sterile has sterility assurance documentation.2) The operator's piercing gun contain components which must be cleaned and sterilized at the point of use. It doesn't appear that there is any method to disassemble, clean, and sterilize the gun.REQUIREMENT: Cease offering piercing services immediately. Obtain a piercing gun that has single-use, pre-sterilized cartridges at the piercing site.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Several types of protein threads used in the protein thread tightening service do not have a complete ingredients list in English/French. It appears that the protein is sourced from egg albumin. Additionally, it appears that some of the product (gold packaging) has expired, as the manufacturer's date indicated that it was manufactured in 2016 and expires after 3 years.REQUIREMENT: Do not offer protein thread tightening unless the protein threads have ingredients listed in French/English and use the protein threads in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Critical)?
      • 1) A plasma pen 'Maglev Maulwurf Sommerprosse' was identified at the premises. This brand/manufacturer does not appear to have a MDL from Health Canada, and has not been evaluated for safety, effectiveness or quality. REQUIREMENT: Do not use this plasma pen and discontinue the offering of this service unless a pen with a valid MDL from Health Canada can be obtained.2) The operator is providing electrocauterization services; this service has not been previously assessed.REQUIREMENT: Operator cannot provide electrocauterization services until the equipment and procedures are reviewed by a Public Health Inspector.
    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • MEBO Burn Ointment cream contains 0.25% beta-Sitosterol but does not have an NPN issued by Health Canada.REQUIREMENT: Use a burn ointment cream that has Health Canada approval (DIN or NPN).
