      • Written procedures were completed during the inspection.Written procedures for cleansing skin were completed for the following services: -manicure -pedicureWritten procedure for accidental skin cuts or punctures was provided to the operator at the time of inspection.Reprocessing sink not used for handwashing therefore written procedures for sink decontamination was not required.
    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • The handwashing sinks in the washrooms were not supplied with soap and/or single-use towels. Provide soap/single-use towels where required.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Indicator test strips were not available. If using PreEmpt CS20, buy AHP7 indicator test strips (50 count). Recommend buying 2 bottles. APH7 indicator test strips expire 3-months after opening.High-level disinfectant logs were not being maintained. Templates will be provided.Disinfectant was not available for pedicure foot basin. Recommend obtaining an intermediate-level disinfectant (i.e. PreEmpt RTU, Cavicide etc.).Disinfectant was not available for client contact / environmental surfaces. Obtain a low-level disinfectant. Ensure it has a "DIN" and "disinfectant" claim. Somes examples include Mr. Clean, Lysol, Clorox etc.
