What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded once on June 30, 2026. For example: Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?

  • Food source, labelling and allergensHigher risk

Food must come from approved suppliers, stay in labelled containers and be thrown out when it is spoiled or damaged, such as dented or swollen cans. Labelling matters for allergies: an unlabelled container can hide an allergen.

Recorded once on May 1, 2025. For example: Is all food in this facility from an approved source and/or properly labelled?

  1. Monitoring Inspection

    1 infraction

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • Facility had premade chlorine sanitizer spray bottles labeled as containing 1.84% (18,400 ppm) available chlorine (CLOROX Clean-Up, Disinfectant Bleach Cleaner). This concentration is acceptable for certain cleaning and disinfecting applications on non-food contact surfaces; however, it is much higher than the recommended concentration for sanitizing food contact surfaces.---The operator was instructed on the correct dilution required to achieve a chlorine sanitizer concentration of 100 to 200 ppm for food contact surfaces. This concentration is effective at destroying harmful bacteria while minimizing the potential for chemical contamination, excessive chlorine residues, and irritating chlorine vapors. Please ensure a chlorine sanitizer spray bottle is prepared daily at a concentration of 100 to 200 ppm. Preparing the solution at approximately 200 ppm should allow it to remain within the effective range throughout the day under normal use. Please also ensure the sanitizer concentration is routinely tested and confirmed to remain within the effective range during use.
