- 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
- Observation:
- Gaps at the base of receiving/loading bay doors observed. These gaps will allow pests into the premises.
- Corrective Action(s):
- Have your pest company inspect all exterior doors and receiving/loading bay doors for gaps. Install new door sweeps/guards on the base and sides of receiving/loading bay doors, and any exterior doors, to prevent the entry of pests.
- **Correction date: July 19/23**
- 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
- Observation:
- 1) Mould build-up found in the keg walk-in-cooler on the ceiling, walls and cooler fan covers. Mould could fall into food and contaminate it.
- 2) Rodent droppings found the floor in the upstairs grain storage area. Rodent droppings carry disease.
- Corrective Action(s):
- 1) Wash the walls and ceilings of the keg walk-in-cooler, and the fan covers to remove the mould. Increase the frequency this is done, to prevent the accumulation of dust.
- 2) Clean up the rodent droppings and sanitize any surface that came into contact with the droppings. Droppings must be cleaned up every day to prevent illness, and it is a good way to monitor the activity areas and levels of rodents.
