    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • - Bleach solution used for the diaper‑changing station measured 0 ppm available chlorine.A 0ppm reading indicates no disinfecting capability, increasing risk of contamination and spread of enteric pathogens.Prepare bleach solution at the 100-200ppm concentration.- Chlorine test strips on site were expired. Expired test strips may provide inaccurate readings, compromising effective sanitization. Replace with valid, unexpired test strips and discard expired ones.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Girls’ and boys’ washrooms had no soap and no paper towels available.Absence of hand hygiene supplies prevents effective handwashing and increases risk of communicable disease transmission.Ensure all handwashing stations are continuously stocked with liquid soap and single‑use paper towels.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Signs of wear and loss of melamine on sink surfaces.Rust buildup noted at the junction of the faucets and the sink.Damaged and deteriorating surfaces are not smooth, non‑absorbent, or easily cleanable as required.Repair or replace affected fixtures to ensure all surfaces are intact and cleanable.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Hot water measured 60°C throughout the facility.Water temperatures must be maintained <54 degree Celsius, and recommendations <48 degree Celsius. pose a significant scald risk, especially to young children.Adjust hot water delivery systems to ensure temperatures at point‑of‑use taps do not exceed 54°C (required) (48° C- as a recommendation). Verify temperatures after adjustment. (install a mixing valve at the point of use sinks). DO NOT lower the temperature in the main hot water tank please.

    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • The left-hand sink in the girls washroom (OSC) was not draining properly. Please repair.
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Back door weatherstripping was in disrepair. Please repair/replace to promote weatherproofing and prohibit access to pests.

    • 12. Is refuse being managed in a suitable manner?
      • - In the infant room, cardboard is being used to cover the waste receptacle. Please ensure garbage receptacle covers are smooth, no absorbent and durable to allow for easy cleaning and disinfection. Please refrain from using cardboard.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • - In the preschool room, under the handwashing sink is a pool of water. Please ensure the water is removed to prevent mould development and deterioration to the surrounding surfaces. No leaking was observed from the plumbing fixture. Please ensure the plumbing is in good working order.

      • - The water temperature at all handwashing sinks accessible to children are above the 54 degrees Celsius maximum. Please ensure the water temperature is lowered to minimize the risk of scalding to the hands and/or body.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • - In the toddler washroom one toilet is in disrepair. The toilet is currently not in use and is restricted using industrial tape. Please ensure the toilet is repaired to ensure adequate access to toilets.
