- 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
- Rubbing alcohol and other chemicals were being stored in an unlocked cupboard within reach of children.Corrective Action:Director was advised to move and store these items appropriately during the inspection.
- 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
- Chlorine bleach for surface disinfectants was expired (as of 2023).Corrective Action:Advised director to purchase new chlorine bleach and make new surface disinfectants the same day.
- 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
- Children's belongings are stored on hooks that are less than 12 inches apart. Furthermore, staff belongings (such as jackets) are stored adjacent to children's belongings.Corrective Action:- Since the program is not at max capacity, there are more hooks than there are children. Director was advised to space out children's belongings at least 1 hook apart in the short-term.- Director was advised to store staff belongings separate from children's belongings.Discussed some long-term options with director including:- Reinstall hooks at least 12 inches apart. - Install cubbies for each child.
