- 1. A high-level disinfectant (HLD) is required for disinfection of semi-critical equipment (i.e. eyelash extension tweezers). Purchase a high-level disinfectant (HLD). Most HLD’s have a 14 to 30-day reuse period but you must also retain proper indicator test strips and keep HLD logs. HLD log templates were provided at the time of inspection.2. Obtain a high-level disinfectant tray that fits the largest equipment/tools (i.e. metal foot file). Ensure it has a lid and tools can be visually confirmed to be fully soaked in the HLD as required.
