    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1) The staff members had stated to the Inspector that Pre-empt RTU was being diluted with water, which is contrary to manufacturer's instructions.REQUIREMENT: Ensure that all disinfectant manufacturer's instructions are followed. Do not dilute RTU (Ready-To-Use) products. Obtain new Pre-empt RTU solution immediately.2) The facility was not fully immersing semi-critical tools such as cuticle pushers in disinfectant. The facility had upright containers of CS20 which does not allow for both sides of the tool to be fully submerged.REQUIREMENT: Ensure that tools are being fully immersed in disinfectant. It is suggested to obtain horizontal containers as that will allow for an easier method to fully submerse tools and will typically use less disinfectant.
