- The high temperature dishwasher gauges do not appear to be working. The wash temperature dial did not move. The rinse temperature reached a temperature of >180C as required; however, the plate level temperature reached a maximum temperature of 66C. A plate level temperature of at least 71C (160F) is required to achieve effective sanitation.Ensure the dishwasher is capable of reaching at least 71C (160F) at the plate level. It is strongly recommended that the gauges be functional to assist with monitoring.Obtain a waterproof, max/min holding thermometer to verify temperature at the plate level.Until the dishwasher is capable of effective sanitation, dishes or toys may be washed in the dishwasher but then must be sanitized in a 100 ppm chlorine bleach solution for at least 2 minutes before being air dried.
