    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Baseboard outlets that are in reach of children were unprotected. The staff present had mentioned that outlet covers were being obtained.Please cover outlets as to prevent fingers or objects from touching electrical outlets.2. Thumbtacks were observed being used in the toddler room. Please do not use thumbtacks as they are a swallowing hazard for small children.

      • Chemicals stored inside the washroom were observed to be reachable by children.The chemicals were then moved into a utility closet by staff, in order to prevent access by children.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Loose screws and screwdrivers were found in an accessible drawer in the front room.Please remove any potentially hazardous objects from children's play area.2. Baseboard outlets that are in reach of children were unprotected.Please cover outlets as to prevent fingers or objects from touching electrical outlets.3. Thumbtacks were observed being used in the toddler room. Please do not use thumbtacks as they are a swallowing hazard for small children.

      • Diapering station had a visible stain on the pad and table.Please ensure that the diapering station is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between use.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddlers in the napping room were noted to be too close together and inadequately arranged.This was discussed and corrected by Vini.Please ensure that beds have at least 60cm of open space on all sides and that each child is arranged so that they are not facing each other to mitigate the spread of germs through coughing, breathing, or sneezing.

    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • Soap and/or paper towels were observed to be missing at some handwashing sinks at the time of inspection. Please ensure that all handwashing stations are stocked with adequate supplies.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • No hot water was observed at the time of inspection. Please ensure that hot water is accessible at all plumbing fixtures. Hot water should be available and should not exceed 54C (recommended max is 43C) at client accessible sinks.

Operator had mentioned that the dispensers will be coming in shortly.Please ensure that all handwashing stations are stocked with adequate supplies. Supplies should be stored in suitable dispensers to ensure regular and proper hand hygiene.
