    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • A leak beneath the sink was observed inside the cabinet of the handwashing sink located closest to the entrance of the OSC room, occurring when the cold-water faucet was turned to the fully open position. A loud noise with noticeable vibration was also noted when the cold water was fully opened. Ensure the indicated handwashing sink is repaired.

    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • OSC Room: The shelving unit below the television shows peeling and rough edges and requires finishing to ensure a smooth, easily cleanable surface.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Some alcohol wipes in the small first aid kit were expired (2017) and were removed by the operator during the inspection. Please ensure regular inventory checks are conducted to prevent expired items from being kept in the kit.
    • 17. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Critical)?
      • No pre-made disinfectant was available in the rooms. The disinfectant spray bottles were observed to be empty. The operator prepared and filled the bottles with a 100 ppm chlorine solution during the inspection. Please ensure that disinfectant solutions are readily available at all times for disinfecting surfaces.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • OSC Room: A broken white drawer was observed. The operator discarded it during the inspection. Please ensure all items are kept in good repair and easily cleanable at all times.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • OSC Room: The first handwashing sink on the right has low water pressure. Please ensure adequate water pressure is maintained for proper handwashing.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • As of July 2025, the following remains to be addressed: Shelving unit (4 feet 9 inches high) appears unstable, and it does not appear to be secured in the OSC room.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • One brown leather chair was observed to be in disrepair. Please ensure all areas are easily cleaned and disinfected and in good repair.
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • What appears to be droppings was observed at the bottom of the shelving unit. Ensure areas are cleaned and disinfected and disposal is done in a safe matter.

      • Red shelving unit (over 6 feet high) and another shelving unit (4 feet 9 inches high) were unstable and not secured to a wall in the OSC room.

      • Burnt light in the preschool room washroom. Ensure adequate lighting is in place and bulbs are replaced/fixed as needed.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Two brown leather chairs were observed to be in disrepair. It appears that covers for chairs are to be received at the end of the week. Please ensure all areas are easily cleaned and disinfected and in good repair.

      • Brown leather chair was in disrepair in the preschool room. This was corrected during inspection

      • Nozzle for the faucet in OSC room washroom was missing. Water pressure was affected by the missing nozzle. High pressure was observed. Please ensure faucet is in good repair.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Art supplies observed onsite were observed to not have an AP product sign. This was corrected during inspection. A copy of the art supply guideline will be sent with this report.
