      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Staff indicated that scoops for popcorn are only washed and rinsed at the start and end of the day.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure that all scoops and food contact utensils are adequately washed, rinsed, sanitized and air dried that were in use today.
      • Reviewed to clean and sanitize in-use preparation utensils at least every 4 hours between use and after final use each day.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer bucket containing bleach sanitizer registered a concentration >200ppm chlorine causing the chlorine test strip to bleach out.
      • Corrective Action(s): Staff had adjusted the concentration of the sanitizer such that the concentration registered between 100-200 ppm chlorine

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Greater than 200 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available in the sanitizer pail as the chlorine test strips were bleaching out.
      • Corrective Action(s): Supervisor diluted the sanitizer to achieve 200 ppm chlorine sanitizer. Ensure chlorine sanitizer at a concentration of 100-200 ppm (1/2 teaspoon bleach per L of water) is used to sanitize surfaces.

      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Small "magic chef" white coloured one-door refrigeration unit in the back room was at 7 degrees C at the time of inspection. This refrigeration unit contained frozen butter that had been moved recently from the chest freezer into it.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure the refrigeration unit is maintained at or below 4 degrees C. Operator adjusted this refrigeration unit to 4 degrees C or less during the inspection.

      • 315 - Refrigeration units and hot holding equipment lack accurate thermometers [s. 19(2)]
      • Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One-door refrigeration unit was equipped with an inaccurate thermometer.
      • Corrective Action(s): Ensure each refrigeration unit is equipped with an accurate thermometer. Operator moved the thermometer from the front beverage cooler (used to store non-potentially hazardous food drinks) into the one-door "magic chef" cooler in the interim and plans to purchase a new accurate thermometer for this fridge.
