    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • 1. Infant room: The counter space where the diapering mat is placed during diapering is also used for other activities. Please ensure the area dedicated for diapering is only used for diapering purposes.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Emergency blanket is missing in the first aid kit. Please ensure the first aid kit has necessary supplies.

      • 1. Infant room: The counter space where the diapering mat is placed during diapering is also used for other activities. Observed to have food containers placed on the same counter. Please ensure the area dedicated for diapering is only used for diapering purposes.2. Infant room: The safety belt on the diapering mat is not anchored to the surface. There is no other restraint available to prevent a child from falling. Please anchor the safety belt to the surface of the change table.

      • Some items such as CPR valve, tweezer, emergency blanket etc. are missing in the first aid kit. Please ensure the first aid kit has necessary supplies.

      • 1. Infant room: The faucet of the classroom sink is leaking. Please repair.2. Junior Preschool: The paint on the washroom half door is peeling. Please repair.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Kindergarten, Junior Preschool: Some of the children’s water bottles were not labelled. Please label them. Violation corrected onsite.

      • Infant room: The diapering mat is torn. Please replace.

      • 1. Same disinfectant bottle is used for diapering and general sanitizing of the toys and other surfaces. Please ensure two disinfectant bottles are available. One for diapering and one for other areas of the classroom.2. Infant room: The disinfectant bottle is not labelled. Please label.

    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler 1& Infant Room: - Floor mop and bucket were being stored beside the children's toilet. Please remove cleaning supplies from washroom area. All cleaning supplies should be stored separately and in a manner that prevents contamination.

      • Toddler 2 & Junior 1 Room: - Antiseptic wipes in first aid kit were expired. Please obtain new antiseptic wipes and discard expired wipes. Please ensure all first aid kits in various rooms are equipped with all required supplies.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • The following deficiencies were noted: Toddler 1 & Infant Room - Paper foot-print cut outs were stuck to the floor with tape. There was debris stuck to the tape, and it appeared dirty. Since the children in this room often come into contact with the floor, it is essential to keep it clean. Please replace the tape regularly or remove. Jr Preschool 2 Room- The wooden side table next to the hand wash station was rough and peeling. Please remove this table from the facility if it is not needed or replace with a more suitable table.

      • Toddler 1& Infant Room: - Floor mop and bucket were being stored beside the children's toilet. Please remove cleaning supplies from washroom area. All cleaning supplies should be stored separately and in a manner that prevents contamination.

      • Some sensory material containers/bottles can be opened. The lids of these containers or bottles should be glued so that children do not have access to the content or liquid within.-Please ensure the lids of indicated containers are securely glued or taped so that children do not have access to hazardous materials.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Peeling toilet seat cover was observed in the junior pre-school washroom.-Please replace the damaged toilet cover to ensure smooth surface and proper cleaning and sanitizing.
