    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Tall shelving in the classrooms was not secured to the wall.- Secure all tall furniture in the classrooms to the wall.
    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Water beads were being used for sensory play in Room 1 (4-6 years olds)- Remove the water beads from the classroom. Water beads as sensory play items should only be allowed for children over 5 years old under supervision.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • There was no hot water at the handwashing stations. Water at all the handwashing sink after lunch was cold recorded at 10 degrees Celsius.- An adequate supply of hot water must be provided at all handwashing sinks to facilitate proper hand hygiene.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • First aid kits in the classrooms are incomplete and do not contain all required items. - Please see Appendix H of the Health and Safety Guide for Operators of Child Care Facilities for information about what materials are required in first aid kits for your childcare facility.
