    • 17. Is reusable equipment cleaned properly (Critical)?
      • A tweezer in the clean area was observed with hair.- Thoroughly clean and repeat reprocessing. Ensure to adequately clean and visually assess reusable tools before disinfection to prevent cross-contamination.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The container of Caviwipes was empty. No replacement available onsite at the time of inspection.- Please obtain new, unexpired ones.

      • 1. The operator is reusing the high-level disinfectant solution. No test strips were available at the time of inspection. Test strips are required to determine if the concentration of the high-level disinfectant solution is effective to reuse. Obtain accelerated hydrogen peroxide 7% test strips to test the Preempt CS20 solution. 2. No disinfection logs for the high-level disinfectant. Ensure disinfectant solutions are tested and values are recorded daily. Keep a record of the concentrations onsite. An AHS template was provided to the operator.

      • The reprocessing area and drawers were observed with visible dust and debris.Please thoroughly clean.Ensure to maintain the facility in a clean and organized manner at all times.
