    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Counter next to diapering handwash sink in infant room was used to store bottles, bottle warmer and snack for serving. Move any food and food handling items into different area to ensure separation between diapering and food handling activities. Signage may be used to ensure staff are using one sink for handwashing after diapering and other sink for bottle preparation.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • There was no mouthed toy bin in infant room. Staff stated they put mouthed toys into sink. Please ensure there is a labelled bin. This will help keep hand sinks clear and ensure consistency between staff.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Sink on left in preschool washroom did not have hot water. Sink on right side of toddler washroom did not have hot water. Ensure all sinks have hot and cold running water.
    • 22. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Non-Critical)?
      • Tap on sink in preschool 1 room was loose. Tighten faucet.

      • Exterior door in front room (south east) had a gap under the door. Install/repair weatherstripping to prevent pest entry.

      • Hot water at taps accessible to children measured 55 degrees Celsius. Adjust so that maximum is 49 degrees Celsius or less.

      • Not all windows in rooms used for napping had window coverings installed. Ensure all rooms used for napping have window coverings.
