- It was observed that facility specific written procedures were not maintained for the facility.Based on the services provided at the facility, facility is required to maintain the procedures for1) Skin Cleansing before waxing2) Client care in case of accidental cuts and punctures.Templates for written procedures would be provided with this e-mail.Please fill and keep for your own records.

- It was observed that single use wooden applicator for dispensing wax was visibly dirty and being reused.Make sure that single use equipment is discarded after each use.

- A metal foot filer (used for pedicure) was in visibly dirty condition and stored with clean equipment.The facility had required equipment for disinfection of semi critical equipment (metal foot filer) however no set-up for High Level Disinfection was observed during the indepction.1)Please note that semi critical equipment (that may contact with non-intact skin or mucous membrane) must be disinfected with High Level Disinfectant.2)Tools must be first cleaned with soap and water, followed by disinfection.3) Follow manufacturer's instruction for use of HLD.4) HLD (Pre-empt CS20) can be reused for 14 days, however it is important to test it on daily basis using test strips (AHP7).5)Logs must be maintained for HLD.**Log sheet will be provided with this e-mail**.

- Containers for the cosmetic products in the waxing room were dirty with dust and hair observed on it.Make sure that cosmetic products and their containers are handled in safe and sanitary manner.

- Non-critical tools (those that come in contact with client skin and hair) were washed and cleaned in the dual-purpose sink.Make sure that handwashing or any activity does not occur in the tool reprocessing sink.As facility had multiple sinks, one sink could be dedicated to tool reprocessing.
