      • Above one of the cribs in the baby room is a wire draped across the wall, either the wire needs to be removed, or the crib needs to be permanently moved. The wire poses a serious strangulation risk.

      • The cut up pool noodles in the rooms are no longer in good condition. ALL items in the childcare rooms need to in good condition, and need to be cleaned and sanitized at regular intervals. The pool noodles and the duct tape attached to them are dirty.

      • In the indoor gym, there is peeling paint on the wall within arm's reach of the children.There is also damaged floor tiles in the indoor gym, and the carpet/rug in the corner does not look clean and it is overall not in good repair.

      • General sanitation observed in the OSC room was below satisfactory.-How is that giant stuffed teddy bear going to be kept clean?-The carpet/rug in the quiet corner does NOT look like it gets vacuumed every day.-The play kitchen equipment does not look clean.-The light switch in the boys bathroom is filthy looking. Light switches are considered high-touch surfaces and should be wiped MULTIPLE times throughout the day.

      • The right-hand sink in the preschool washroom is leaking.

      • The underside of the diaper changing mat in the Toddler Room was visibly soiled.Staff were instructed to clean and disinfect the area during the inspection.

      • The paper towel dispenser in the OSC room was found empty.Staff were instructed to refill the dispenser with paper towels during the inspection.

      • The hot water handle on one of the water fixtures in the OSC room is not functioning properly. It is too difficult for a child to turn on the hot water.Repair or replace the hot water handle to ensure ease of use and proper functionality.
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • A gap was noted at the bottom of the front entrance door.Repair or replace the weather stripping to eliminate the gap and prevent pest entry into the facility.
