     • Red One brand 70% alcohol having no NPN or DIN was used as an antisepticCorrective action:Antiseptic alcohol must have NPN or DIN. Do not use this brand missing NPN or DIN. Use the other brand available onsite having NPN
   • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
     • a) Client chairs and surfaces were being disinfected using after shave containing alcohol.b) Reusable blade handles were disinfected in barbicide- a low level disinfectantCorrective action:a) Alcohol is antiseptic not disinfectant.Use disinfectant having NPN or DIN and within expiry dateExample PREempt wipes/lysol wipes to disinfect client chairs and surfaces.b) Use intermediate level disinfectant to disinfect razor blade handle. Use PREempt wipes available onsite for this.
