What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Food temperature controlHigher risk
Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.
Recorded once on June 1, 2026. For example:
Critical Inadequate Cooling & Refrigerated Storage of Potentially Hazardous Food(s)
PestsHigher risk
Signs of mice, rats, cockroaches or flies, or gaps and clutter that let them get in or hide. Pests carry bacteria and can contaminate food and surfaces, so evidence of activity is treated seriously and usually triggers a follow-up visit.
Recorded once on June 1, 2026. For example:
Inadequate Insect / Rodent Control
Building, plumbing and upkeepLower risk
Floors, walls and ceilings must be smooth and clean, with working lighting, ventilation, plumbing, hot and cold water, and washrooms. These are rarely an immediate food-safety risk on their own, but persistent problems can lead to pest or sanitation issues.
Recorded once on June 1, 2026. For example:
Improper Construction / Maintenance of Establishment
Other findingsLower risk
Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.
Recorded once on June 1, 2026. For example:
Operations and Maintenance/Other

- One large container of chicken karaage was found being stored at room temperature on top of standing freezer. Chicken was not actively being used. Internal temperature measured 25°C.
- Staff indicated karaage had been stored at room temperature for 4-5 hours. Staff discarded the one large container of chicken karaage at the time of inspection. Corrected during inspection. Store cold potentially hazardous foods at or below 4°C. Discard foods that are stored in the danger zone between 4°C-60°C for more than 2 hours.
- Inadequate Insect / Rodent Control
- Many rodent droppings were found in the following areas: (1) left-hand side beside the back handsink, (2) on left-hand side beside the mop sink, and (3) beside the back employee entrance next to the under-counter cooler.
