      • Water sample taken on June 16, 2026, was positive for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and contained an extremely elevated HPC (>57,000cfu).2 consecutive unsatisfactory water results (previous week's sample was not tested due to incorrect completion of the requisition form and unsatisfactory results from this week's sample) require the hot tub to be closed, drained, cleaned and re-balanced prior to taking a resample. The hot tub is to remain closed until advised otherwise by EPH.Patricia indicated that the maintenance staff had closed the hot tub and draining would start tonight.

      • The automated chemical readings were not being recorded by the pool operator. Pool operators were instructed to record the automated chemical readings into the logbook at least once per day to ensure that the automated readings are consistent with manual chemical tests.

The written policies were reviewed during the inspection and the following below require to be updated to comply and align with the Alberta Health Pool Standards, July 2014, Amended 2018. - The water quality incident response plans for blood, vomit, and stool. The Alberta Health Pool Standards, July 2014, Amended 2018 was reviewed with the pool operators during the inspection, and additional information will be provided via email along with the report.2. The anti-entrapment plan were reviewed with the pool operators during the inspection and require revision. Revise the anti-entrapment plan and provide the undersigned public health inspector with the updated version for review.
